Tom is a freelance cinematographer and documentary filmmaker based in the UK and working globally. His work spans corporate films, events, performing arts and commercials across Europe and Asia, but documentary is where his heart lies: telling honest, human stories about people, their crafts and their customs.

Tom approaches every documentary with patience, curiosity and respect for his contributors, aiming for a visual style that is cinematic but never intrudes on the story. Whether he's filming a craftsperson at work, a community preserving a tradition or a way of life in transition, the goal is the same: to capture moments as they unfold and give them the care they deserve.

Alongside his documentary work, Tom has shot high-profile EPK and trailer content for major West End productions, as well as work for Aston Martin, Yanmar, the University of Birmingham and The White Company. Years of multicam, live-event and commercial experience have made him a dependable collaborator, comfortable slotting into established crews and working closely with directors, producers and clients to deliver to brief and on schedule.

Regularly shooting abroad, Tom is well versed in the practicalities of international production. He travels with his own professional kit and is set up for smooth cross-border work, including ATA Carnet for temporary equipment export, so productions can mobilise quickly with minimal logistical overhead.

He shoots on Sony FX3 and FX6 cinema cameras and brings the technical know-how and calm, organised approach needed to keep a production running smoothly, from an intimate documentary to a large-scale shoot.

Tom is available for commissions, broadcast and branded documentary work, and DP roles on funded productions, in the UK and internationally.
